协会不定期组织策划各类型的摄影比赛、展览、评奖评选活动，通过征集、编辑、出版摄影文化产业书刊、画册等方式宣传推广优秀摄影师，支持摄影师出作品、出成果。更多与他其区内外摄影组织开展摄影文化交流，扩大友好往来，增进相互了解，建立会员权益保护组织机构，依据法则维护协会会员的权益。表彰奖励与摄影创作、理论研究、教育培训、组织策划、编辑出版、器材研发等方面有突出贡献人士与机构。
